The symptoms can influence someone’s behavior, mood, and physiological well-being. In older adults RSS usually occurs after moving from a private residence to a nursing home and it can lead to physical and/or psychological decline, which can result in significant health complications and even pre-mature death. However, RSS can occur at any age, for instance also in children moving to another town or going to a new school.
